Welcome to the Stichting Verantwoord Windsurfen (SVW), better known as the Veerse Dam Surf School. We have been providing windsurfing lessons to both beginners and advanced windsurfers since 1984.

Windsurfing is a cool sport in which you have to deal with wind and water in a very direct manner. The key words are wind, water and speed, but also, and most especially, fun. Whether you just want a relaxing time on the water or a thrilling day of pushing your boundaries, windsurfing has it all.

It is our aim to convey that windsurfing feeling. That's why we teach no more than two people at one time. In this way we give you all the necessary attention to ensure you learn quickly. Our instructors sail with you on their own board, so they can show you what to do rather than just shout instructions from a boat or the shore.

We provide unrivalled top quality lessons to produce superior results.

We achieve this through:

• A select group of well-trained instructors;
• A unique tried-and-tested teaching method;
• Appropriate windsurfing equipment for the lessons;
• A perfect location for instruction at the the Veerse Meerzijde of the Veerse Dam.

Our instructors are certified by the Dutch Water Sports Union (KNWV) and/or the German Windsurfing and Water Sport Schools Union (VDWS). They have also been trained in our teaching methods. We are one of the few Dutch surf schools to be affiliated with the VDWS.
