Basic course
Our certified instructors teach one or two learners at the same time. We do this at our own location at the Veerse Dam or on Neeltje Jans. We use the latest kite equipment from Cabrinha. The instructors are in the water near you at all times. Once you are able to sail a little, they use a watertight transmitter which allows them to coach you on the water through the integrated watertight headphones in your helmet.
The kitesurfing course consists of 4 modules (in the morning or afternoon), prefereably spread out over several days. This prevents you from becoming too tired, which would otherwise make you learn less effectively. If you are fit enough and the weather allows, you may complete two modules in one day .
An appointment is made for each module. In the first module you learn how to control the kite. You learn how to rig the kite, as well as steer, power, depower and relaunch it. Body dragging is also part of this first module.
In the second module we introduce the board and look at the waterstart. We sometimes insert a waterstart at the wakeboard circuit into the module. This is a five-minute drive from our location. In the next modules you continue with waterstarts, as well as learn how to control speed and perform jumps. Safety measures are examined in all the modules.
With the course you receive a course manual which describes the contents of the various modules. Use this manual to get the most out of the course.
At the end of the course you will be capable of safely practising further on your own, and will know what to look out for when buying your own equipment.
Kid's course
Children from 10 years of age can also learn to kitesurf. They get private lessons, during which the instructor familiarises them with the kite and board in a fun manner. We have small kites and boards for children. It is also possible to have lessons together with your son or daughter.
